Pardon our dust! We are still putting some finishing touches on our site… We’re almost done, and appreciate your patience!

Katie Westerfield, CEO & Founder

Born and raised in Irondequoit, New York, Katie moved to Ohio in 2004. She attended school in the area for Fire Science, and was an Intern with Dayton Fire’s Investigation and Prevention Department. In 2011, while traveling out in the Bad Lands of South Dakota in the middle of a snow storm – the name of her next adventure came to her: Homeward Bound… How perfect! She has built the company from the ground up, and carefully selects her team to represent everything she has worked for. Today, Katie and her husband, Matt, live in Centerville with their four children. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, traveling, cooking, and coaching soccer for local leagues. She loves coffee, calamari, and is a sucker for a good cheeseburger, too!

Willow and Cypress are her huskies who have very unique names. Willow, is actually named after the unity tree they used in their wedding ceremony. Their dog Paxson was buried beneath the willow tree, and it was a wonderful way to commemorate him when they welcomed her into the family. Cypress is a newer addition, and is named after the bald cypress trees in the bayous of Louisiana – a special place for Katie and Matt. They also have a kitty named Siggy, an adaption of a family name precious to them.

Fun Fact: If you hear her say, “If its all right by you…” she is really saying “bayou” and thinks she’s hilarious!

Sandy Ohe

Director of Adminstraion & Lead Care Specialist

Sandy has been with our company since August of 2015. Her potential was quickly realized with us, and was on the fast track to becoming apart of our management team in 2016. She is a Kettering, Ohio native and has two daughters, Kiersten and Ashlee, that are her entire world. We love to hear about her fishing, kayaking, and hiking adventures outside of work, and see her beautiful outdoor landscape photography. She loves the outdoors particularly in the spring and fall. She absolutely loves pets and nature, and is grateful to work with us so that she can fill her days both. Animals bring her heart such joy, they make it impossible to have a bad day.

Fun Fact: Scallops are her absolute favorite food!

Rebecca Kitchens

Executive & Administrative Assistant, Lead Care Specialist

Rebecca was also a treasure we hired the same as Sandy in August of 2015. She quickly became an asset with her attention to detail, and thoroughness. She too, was promoted into management in 2016. Rebecca was also raised in Kettering, Ohio and began working for us while attending the University of Dayton. She has since moved on to med school, and anticipates graduation with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2020. When she was young, her mother adopted a Rottweiler-Terrior mix named Lucky from SICSA. Her family currently has two hamsters, and a dwarf rabbit named June. When she has free time, which is quite rare these days with her studies, she enjoys traveling and experiencing new things.
